De Minaur is the second Aussie through to the round of 16, joining Rinky Hijikata who yesterday beat Chinese world No.67 Zhizhen Zhang in four sets.

“An emphatic victory, and he joins Rinky Hijikata in the 16s,” Todd Woodbridge said in commentary for Nine.

“I don’t think any of us expected that he would be as clinical and be able to put Jarry away today in straight sets like that.”
