Topanga ranch, once owned by ‘Friends’ actress Jane Sibbett, seeks $9 million – Daily News

A Topanga compound on 17 acres of rugged Santa Monica Mountains is up for sale at $8.99 million.

Known as Trust Ranch, it features a six-bedroom, 8,247-square-foot residence with five bathrooms split between a main house and a detached guest house.

There’s also an artist’s studio.

The property, advertised as a private residence and event venue, includes a vineyard, stables, a riding ring, trails, a beach volleyball court, an archery area and a solar-topped pavilion. According to the listing, it has previously hosted various events, including weddings, the Topanga Film Festival and even a circus.

On-site parking is available for up to 52 vehicles, including a two-car garage, with an additional 50 spots available on the street.

Records show the property dating to 1991 previously belonged to actress Jane Sibbett, who played Ross Geller’s ex-wife on “Friends,” the hit ’90s sitcom. Sibbett and her husband, the writer-producer Karl Fink, bought the property for $750,000 in July 1998 and sold it to the couple who currently owns it.

The seller paid $3.95 million for it in September 2008, records also show.

On entering the 6,447-square-foot main house, guests are welcomed by a rotunda foyer that leads to the main living space. There’s a formal dining room and a living room with a high wood ceiling and a fireplace. Natural light streams through skylights and windows.

The kitchen boasts an oversized center island and an eat-in area connected to a den with canyon views.

There are five bedrooms and four bathrooms.

Upstairs in the primary suite, there’s a fireplace with a floating wood mantle and a decorative tile hearth and rounded surround. It also contains a private patio, a walk-in closet and a large bathroom with skylights, a soaking tub and a separate walk-in shower.

A patio connects the primary suite to a mezzanine library, which steps down to a multi-use room via a circular staircase.

There also is a gym and a one-bedroom, one-bathroom guest suite with a kitchen, living room and office.

Each room features Douglas Fir flooring salvaged from the bottom of the Puget Sound, custom iron railings and fixtures, and tilework created by local artists Paul and Matt Doolin of Topanga Art Tile.

The separate one-bedroom, one-bathroom 1,800-square-foot guest house has a kitchen, dining area, laundry and patio with canyon views.

Additionally, the property offers an on-site water well and a huge solar array augmented by passive solar for what the listing calls “guilt-free” electricity and unlimited hot water use.

Aaron Grushow, Bryce Lowe, and Kirby Gillon of AKG | Christie’s International Real Estate and Teri Lewis of NextHome Living hold the listing.
