Tekashi 6ix9ine arrested on domestic violence charges in the Dominican Republic: report

Tekashi 6ix9ine was reportedly arrested on domestic violence charges in the Dominican Republic on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old rapper — whose real name is Daniel Hernández — is reportedly being held at a jail in Santo Domingo, the country’s capital, and is scheduled to appear in court Thursday, per the Associated Press.

A judge will decide at the hearing whether or not the “FEFE” rapper will remain behind bars or be released on bond.

Details about the alleged domestic violence dispute have not been released to the public.

The news comes just one month after Tekashi’s girlfriend Yailin La Más Viral was arrested on a felony charge after they got into a physical altercation.

Per the police report obtained by TMZ, Tekashi told cops that Yailin hit him and his Bentley with a 2×4.

He also accused her of kicking his car’s sideview mirror and breaking the windshield.

The New York-born rapper also had a video of the fight, which he posted to his Instagram Stories. The footage gave police probable cause to arrest Yailin for aggravated battery, witness tampering and felony criminal mischief.

However, Tekashi later paid Yailin’s $9,000 bond and, once the female rapper was out of jail, she insisted that she was actually the victim.

“What an injustice truly … Everything you see is not how it appears to be,” she wrote in Spanish on her Instagram Story at the time.

She also reposted a tweet that alleged Tekashi had hit her in the past and then would start recording to get her reaction afterward.

Two months before the incident, Tekashi was also arrested for allegedly assaulting a music producer who was working with Yailin. However, the current status of that case is unclear.

Prior to that, he was booked in Florida in August for failure to appear at a hearing regarding several traffic citations, which amounted to more than $1,000.

His most high-profile run-in with the law came in 2019 when he was found guilty of racketeering and other charges. However, he served a reduced sentence for testifying against his former gang, the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.
