Sydney Sweeney Leads Neon’s Psychological Horror Movie

Ahead of its trailer release tomorrow, Neon has shared the first official Immaculate poster for its newest psychological horror movie, which will be led by Euphoria breakout Sydney Sweeney.

The poster feature Sweeney as nun who gets transferred to a new convent at a small town in Italy, where lies dark secrets she will uncover. The film is scheduled to debut in theaters on March 22.

What to expect in Immaculate?

Immaculate is directed by Michael Mohan from a screenplay written by Andrew Lobel. The film also stars Simona Tabasco (The White Lotus), Alvaro Morte (Money Heist), Benedetta Porcaroli (Baby), and Dora Romano (The Hand of God). In addition to starring, Sweeny is also serving as a producer along with David Bernad, Jonathan Davino, Teddy Schwarzman and Michael Heimler. It is executive produced by John Friedberg, Christopher Casanova, and Will Greenfield.

“The story follows Cecilia (Sweeney), a woman of devout faith who is offered a fulfilling new role at an illustrious Italian convent,” reads the synopsis. “Her warm welcome to the picture-perfect Italian countryside is soon interrupted as it becomes clearer to Cecilia that her new home harbors some dark and horrifying secrets.”
