Sreesanth recommends Sanju to change his Attitude

Indian cricketer and wicketkeeper Sanju Samson made his ODI debut in the year 2021. Till then, the 28-year-old Sanju Samson has appeared in a total of 13 matches for India, having scored 390 runs with three half centuries. Among the 13 appearances he made, 10 of them came in 2022, when he scored his career best with an unbeaten knock of 86 against South Africa in Lucknow.

Sanju’s snub from the WC squad leaves fans disappointed

After not being chosen for India’s squad ahead of the World Cup, fans are all disappointed with management’s decision. They have asserted over the fact that despite managing to boast an impressive healthy average, the young player couldn’t secure a spot in India’s playing squad for the World Cup commencing on October 5.

Fans took to their social media handles to express their discontent with the selector’s decision and questioned the management about picking Suryakumar Yadav, who has not been active since February 2021. While fans sympathized with Sanju, S. Sreesanth rather chose to counter their reactions while explaining the situation of rising competition in the team.

“There is no doubt about his ability,” says Sreesanth

India’s former pacer and member of the 2011 World Cup-winning squad, S. Sreesanth, recommended Sanju Samson work on his attitude. He backed the decision by management not to pick Sanju in the squad by saying, “I think it’s the right decision because it is very important for a player to understand himself.” From Gavaskar sir to Harsha Bhogle sir to Ravi Shastri sir, everyone rates him highly. There’s no doubt about his ability. But the approach… he doesn’t listen when someone asks him to play according to the pitch. “He can change that attitude.”

Sreesanth further emphasized Samson’s batting shots, saying that he often gets dismissed while attempting rash shots. It’s important for him to recover from a slow start by spending more time on the crease, says Sreesanth.
