Will Shang-Chi ever show up again? Simu Liu is giving fans hope for his eventual return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings was one of the best projects to come out of the MCU in recent years, despite the fact that social media has all but forgotten about it. Yet nearly three years out, there’s still no official word on a sequel, leaving many fans hopeless that the franchise will continue.
However, Simu Liu has returned to give fans some hope about Shang-Chi’s MCU future. While the actor was careful not to make any promises about when he would make his grand return to the MCU as Shang-Chi, he did reassure fans that a sequel is in the works, even if fans can’t see the progress.
Where Will Shang-Chi Appear Next?
While progress has stagnated on a sequel, that doesn’t mean Shang-Chi is gone from the MCU. It’s possible Simu Liu rears his head in a project outside of his own series. The most likely of which is the upcoming Wonder Man show, helmed by Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton.
Simu Liu is also a likely candidate to appear in the next Avengers movie, whatever that may end up being called. Shang-Chi has already been shown interacting with heroes like Bruce Banner and Captain Marvel, leaving the door open for him to be called in as reinforcements should the need arise as the MCU’s multiverse verges on collapse!
