Rohit Shetty is gearing up for his next film in the cop universe titled Singham 3. The movie will feature the characters of Simmba, Sooryavanshi, Singham, and the lady cop Shakti Shetty in lead roles. Singham 3 is the fifth instalment in Shetty’s cop universe. The film stars Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff.
Rohit Shetty had announced the movie last year, and the first look of Deepika’s character was unveiled as lady Singham. Unveiling the same, Rohit Shetty had said that Deepika would be the most ‘brutal and violent’ cop in the cop world.
In the poster, Deepika was seen holding a gun in a man’s mouth, giving a sinister smile with blood oozing from her forehead and shoulders. He had shared the first look on his social media and wrote, “Naari sita ka bhi roop hai aur durga ka bhi… Meet the most brutal and violent officer of our cop universe… Shakti Shetty… My lady Singham… Deepika Padukone.”
Fans went into a frenzy after the poster was revealed and are eagerly awaiting the release of the film.
Rohit Shetty has also announced a standalone cop film for Deepika Padukone’s character, similar to Simmba or Singham, which will tell her story. Deepika has a very prominent role in Singham 3 and is one of the heroes.
Recently, BTS and glimpses have gone viral on social media from the sets with Deepika Padukone filming for the movie along with Rohit Shetty. She was seen wearing a khaki uniform and looked like she was performing action scenes.
Singham 3 is directed by Rohit Shetty under Rohit Shetty Picturez with Reliance Entertainment, Jio Studios, and Devgn Films. Rohit Shetty has previously made films such as Singham, Singham Returns, Simmba, Sooryavanshi, and many others.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone was last seen in Fighter alongside Hrithik Roshan and is gearing up for Kalki 2898 AD alongside Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan. She also announced her pregnancy with husband Ranveer Singh.
