Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi to start filming for Ramayana in Feb 2024, Yash to join in July: Reports

Nitesh Tiwari is gearing up for his highly anticipated project, Ramayana, which has generated considerable buzz in the industry. The film is set to feature Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash in the leading roles.

As per the latest report by a leading entertainment portal, Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi are slated to begin filming for Ramayana in February 2024.

It is further reported that the first instalment of this trilogy will focus primarily on the narrative of Lord Ram and Sita, gradually leading up to the significant conflict of Sita Haran.

The shooting schedule for Ramayana: Part One is set to take place from February to August 2024, culminating in the completion of this installment. Additionally, Yash, who plays the role of Ravana, is anticipated to film his segments in July 2024, as per the report.

According to the report, Yash will have an extended presence in Ramayana: Part One, but his character will take centre stage in the second part, which is based in Sri Lanka.

Yash has allocated 15 days for the shooting of Ramayana: Part One. All three main leads have completed their look tests and are enthusiastic about immersing themselves in the world of this epic love tale, Ramayana, crafted for the big screen by Nitesh Tiwari and Ravi Udyawar.

Nitesh Tiwari and his team have been diligently crafting the world of Ramayana, and the blueprint for it is now complete. The report mentions that the VFX plates have been prepared by the Oscar-winning company, DNEG, promising a world that will captivate and astonish audiences.

Initially, Alia Bhatt was reportedly cast opposite Ranbir Kapoor as Sita in the film, but for reasons known only to her, she stepped out of the project. Subsequently, the makers brought in South star Sai Pallavi for the role.
