Packers fall to Giants, 24-22

Packers lead Giants 10-7 at halftime

The Giants busted out the Wildcat formation at the start of the second quarter and Robinson picked up 32 yards off a handoff from Barkley. On the next play, Barkley finished the eight-play, 75-yard scoring drive when he ran in a 5-yard TD to tie the game at 7 with 11:55 left in the first half.

Green Bay opened its next series with a 16-yard pass to Patrick Taylor from the backfield. Love converted a third-and-5 with a 19-yard pass to Wicks off a corner route.

Dillon pushed the ball to the New York 27 with back-to-back carries, but Love fumbled on third-and-2 while keeping the ball on a zone-read. The Giants took over at their own 27.

Robinson caught a 13-yard pass near the sideline on the first play of New York’s next series. Head Coach Matt LaFleur challenged, but the ruling on the field stood.

Center Sean Harlow was called for a false start on third-and-1. Hyatt picked up five yards on the catch, setting up fourth-and-1. New York went with a full house backfield, but Packers’ linebacker Eric Wilson tackled Barkley short of the first down for the turnover on downs at the Giants’ 49.

However, New York got the ball back two plays later when safety Jason Pinnock intercepted Love on a deep ball for Wicks. He returned the ball to the Green Bay 44, but the Giants punted the ball back after going three-and-out.

Love’s INT was Green Bay’s 14th turnover this year. The Packers have only given up 17 points off those turnovers. The 1.2-point average is No. 1 in the NFL.

Love connected with Tucker Kraft for six yards, as the two-minute warning beckoned in the first half. On third-and-8, Jayden Reed drew a 27-yard defensive pass interference penalty from cornerback Cor’Dale Flott.

Samori Toure caught a pass for six yards to move the ball the New York 38. Taylor ran up the middle for 14 yards and then caught a 6-yard pass, as Green Bay called its second timeout with 24 seconds left in the half.

Romeo Doubs appeared to catch an 8-yard pass at the sideline to convert on second-and-4, but New York reviewed it and it was ruled incomplete. Love’s third-and-4 pass fell incomplete and Anders Carlson made a 36-yard field goal to put the Packers ahead 10-7.
