No punches were thrown between the club’s captain and vice-captain.

Broncos veteran Corey Oats was seen trying to separate the pair in CCTV footage obtained exclusively by 9News.

The footage captured multiple people wrestling and play fighting before the more serious scuffle between Reynolds and Carrigan.

It is understood that one rouge tackle caused the incident to escalate.

The pair, alongside several other Broncos players, are believed to have spilled out of a pub in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, having earlier participated in the club’s fan festival at Red Hill on Sunday.

Minutes before the altercation, the group had been kicked out of a rooftop bar, 9News Queensland reports. They had attended several venues before being asked to leave by venue security and given a move-on directive by local police.

The Broncos have released a statement, confirming the NRL Integrity Unit has been informed of the matter.

“The Broncos are looking into an incident involving some of its playing group in Brisbane city last night,” a club statement read.

“The club was made aware of the incident last night and has been speaking to players across the course of the day to clarify details of what occurred.”

It is understood that the players involved were summoned for a meeting at Broncos HQ on Monday.

The Broncos are set to travel to the US in 10 days to prepare for their historic premiership launch in Las Vegas on Sunday, March 3.
