Mini has introduced the Aceman, an electric vehicle set to fill the space between the Cooper and Countryman in its lineup. While the model marks a fresh addition for the brand, its availability in the US remains uncertain. The Aceman will debut in two versions: the E and SE. The E boasts a 184-horsepower electric motor, accelerating from 0 to 62 miles per hour in 7.9 seconds with its 42.5-kilowatt-hour battery. Meanwhile, the SE packs more punch with 218 hp and a 54.2 kWh battery, reaching 62 mph in just 7.1 seconds.
Mini states the E offers approximately 193 miles of range, while the SE stretches further to 252 miles. Notably, the SE supports 95-kW fast charging, replenishing the battery from 10 to 80 percent in 30 minutes. The Aceman maintains the classic Mini look with an octagonal grille but distinguishes itself with unique design elements, such as LED daytime running lights, Matrix rear taillights, and aerodynamic features like flat door handles and retracted rear glass.
The model will be available in four trims: Essential, Classic, Favored, and JCW, each offering distinct exterior styling options. Inside, a 9.5-inch OLED screen dominates the dashboard, running Mini OS 9 for intuitive control of driving functions. The cabin accommodates five passengers with ample cargo space, featuring amenities like wireless smartphone charging and ambient lighting.
While pricing details are yet to be disclosed, production is slated to commence later this year, pending confirmation of its US launch.
