Marston Hefner spent $100K OnlyFans check on Pokémon cards, comic book

Marston Hefner’s wife was less than pleased when the Playboy scion spent $100,000 of his OnlyFans income on two Pokémon cards and one comic book.

“I’m like, ‘You’re lighting money on fire,’” Anna Lambropoulos, 34, exclusively tells Page Six in an interview alongside her husband, who initially joined OnlyFans specifically to fund his love of collecting.

“It kind of made me die inside. It’s just so much money! I think it’s a volatile investment. I think it’s frivolous to spend money that way.”

Lambropoulos explains that she was “very against” the idea when the writer, gamer and collector, 33, first brought it up to her because she felt that money should go toward “buying a new house or renovations” or things for the home.

“So that’s where I kind of get a little bit, you know, resentful,” she admits.

But Hefner – whom Lambropoulos describes as “very passionate” – did his research “over the course of several months” and decided to make three significant purchases: a “Disco” Holo Shadowless Charizard Pokémon card for $40,000, a CGC 2 “Disco” Holo Shadowless Blastoise Pokémon card for $10,000 and a CGC 5.0 “Amazing Fantasy 15 Spider-Man” comic book for $50,000.

Hefner tells us he’s “kind of regretting” buying the comic book because that’s not where his true passion lies.

“We’re still in a recession, so the comic hasn’t made a profit,” he shares, clarifying that his goal for all three items is to sell them for a profit once the market turns in his favor.

After he and Lambropoulos welcomed their first child in July, Hefner says he “diversified” his OnlyFans earnings to “help out” with both his and his son’s S&P 500 indexes and also “give some to Anna.”

“But S&P 500 doesn’t motivate me like Pokémon cards,” he notes, adding that he “can’t wait to build Legos and watch ‘Pokémon’” with their baby boy, whom Lambropoulos says “comes alive” when his “caring and attentive” father reads to him.

The pair – who also rely on Lambropoulos’ salary as an environmental project manager and Marston’s inheritance from his late father, Playboy founder Hugh Hefner – don’t consider their lifestyle to be “ostentatious.”

But they do enjoy traveling to places like Disney World and Japan, which Lambropoulos makes sure to note they’d be able to afford comfortably without any outside income.

Marston goes on to assure us – and Lambropoulos – that he got his fix when he bought “the card that [he] wanted as a kid” and will put the majority of his future earnings toward a bigger backyard or new home – preferably one with “a higher ceiling” given that he’s 6 feet 5 inches tall.

Lambropoulos tells us her commitment to understanding her husband’s “nonsensical desire to purchase Pokémon cards,” coupled with his agreement to seriously invest in their family’s future, helped the duo work through a situation that would’ve torn other marriages apart.

Similarly, Marston told Page Six back in June that his wife was “not crazy” about him being on OnlyFans, going so far as to say that she’d rather he not participate in the risqué “endeavor.”

“But what’s more important to her is me pursuing my dreams or my interests, taking risks,” he insisted at the time, which Lambropoulos confirms.

She tells us her opinion of the subscription-based website “has changed” since then and that she’s “a little bit more comfortable with it” now because she’s “learned more about it and how it’s going for him and how positive his fans are toward him on the platform.”

Lambropoulos also supports Marston – who identifies as bisexual – “normalizing nudity” and using his account to emphasize acceptance for “all different kinds of sexuality and orientations.”

“Marston’s also a really tall, thin guy. He’s got his own unique body type, and he’s comfortable showing it,” she adds. “I think those are all really great messages that Marston is promoting through doing OnlyFans.”

“We might have different perspectives on things, but we’ll always kind of respect each other’s perspectives,” she continues, revealing that their “really solid” relationship is based on “kindness” and “teamwork.”

Though Marston previously said he’d support Lambropoulos if she chose to launch an OnlyFans page of her own, she tells us that’s unlikely because she’s “a little bit more conservative and wouldn’t wanna expose [her] body” in that way.

According to the twosome, the majority of OnlyFans criticism exists outside the platform. Now that Marston is a parent, he says that criticism has gotten more intense.

“People get upset that I’m a sex worker and a dad, which is like, I guess porn stars and people who pose nude can’t be parents?” he argues. “So [parents] can watch sex workers and masturbate to them, but you’re not allowed to be one and be a parent? It doesn’t make sense.”
