Episode 6 of Lovely Runner aired on tvN on Tuesday, April 24, 2024. The preceding episode ended with Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon) finally learning about Ryu Sun Jae’s (Byeon Woo Seok) romantic feelings for her. In the new episode, the audience sees Im Sol breaking up with Kim Tae Sung (Song Geon Hee).
Lovely Runner episode 6 also shows Ryu Sun Jae confessing his romantic feelings to Im Sol. However, before Sol can respond to the confession, she has to run to the hospital as her mother is going through an operation. The biggest highlight of the episode is Sol getting into a dangerous situation after she comes in front of the menacing taxi driver, who was responsible for the terrible accident that took away Sol’s ability to walk.
Lovely Runner Episode 6: Kim Hye Yoon is in grave danger
Episode 6 of Lovely Runner begins with some high school girls bullying Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon) because she is Kim Tae Sung’s (Song Geon Hee) girlfriend. Thereafter, the viewers see Sol lashing out at Tae Sung and even roughing him up a bit for deceiving her. Sol then goes on to break up with him. Tae Sung feels quite heartbroken by it as he genuinely likes Sol.
Then, the episode goes back to where episode 5 ended. After finding out that Ryu Sun Jae (Byeon Woo Seok) likes her, Im Sol (Kim Hye Yoon) becomes extremely nervous and runs away from there. She is utterly confused as she can not believe an amazing person like Sun Jae can like her. The two then start spending some time together. Meanwhile, Tae Sung comes to talk to Sol with the big teddy bear that Sol has gifted him. He apologizes to Sol, but her decision to break up with him does not change. Tae Sung is upset, and while returning from there on his bike, he gets into an accident and gets admitted to a hospital.
In Lovely Runner episode 6, Sol talks about Sun Jae to her best friend, Lee Hyun Joo. Hyun Joo tells her that Sun Jae has started to like her because she has been hovering around him for quite some time. Im Sol becomes quite upset and decides to maintain distance from Sun Jae. In the meantime, Sun Jae is determined to express his feelings to Sol. He finally musters up his courage and confesses his true feelings to Im Sol. But before she can respond to it, Tae Sung calls Sun Jae. He informs her that Sol’s mother is in the hospital. Thus, Sol rushes to the hospital to be with her mother.
Sol then shows her gratitude to Tae Sung for letting her know about her mother’s surgery. She also tells Tae Sung that he can change his destiny for the better and leaves. The next day, when Sol meets Sun Jae, she rejects his feelings and asks him to stop liking her. Sol believes Sun Jae only likes her because she has been confusing him with her childish acts. She then breaks down in tears after rejecting Sun Jae.
Furthermore, in episode 6 of Lovely Runner, the day of Sol’s tragic accident arrives. She does not want to go outside that day to avoid the accident. Even when Sun Jae messages her and asks her to meet at the park, she tells him she can not. But when it starts raining heavily and she sees Sun Jae going to the park from her window, she can not stop herself. She already realized that Sun Jae’s feelings for her started even before she knew him. Thus, she decides to go out. Sol takes the yellow umbrella with her before leaving her house.
While running to the park in the rain, Sol comes in front of a taxi. She immediately realizes that she is in great danger, as it is the same taxi driver who abducted her in the past. He is the person responsible for her tragic accident. Then, the episode shows Sun Jae returning from the park after it starts raining heavily. He sees a taxi leaving the locality where both he and Sol live. The episode ends with him finding Sol’s yellow umbrella on the road.
