Sony Music-owned distribution and artist and label services company The Orchard has promoted KGV Kiran Kumar to the role of Managing Director in India.
He was previously the company’s Vice President & Country Head, India.
As part of his remit, the exec also oversees the company’s operations in Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
KGV Kiran Kumar joined The Orchard as its Country Head, India in 2021.
Since then, he has headed up all business operations for the territory.
The executive joined The Orchard with two decades of cross-industry experience in banking, telecom, tech, and music.
Prior to joining The Orchard, he spent over two-and-a-half years at Believe, most recently as Distribution Director, India.
Prior to his promotion to that role in October 2020, he was Believe’s Head of Sales & Distribution Services in India.

Elsewhere at The Orchard, earlier this month, the company made two key executive promotions for the UK and Europe. Ian Dutt was elevated to President, UK, while Chris Manning was named Managing Director, UK & Europe.
