Katie Holmes woke up and chose comfort.
The Rare Objects director stepped out last weekend in an outfit that fully embodied the Adam Sandler summer trend—think big tees, loose bottoms, comfy shoes, and the other oversize casual pieces the actor is known to wear.
Holmes’s Sunday ensemble was a more polished iteration of Sandler’s go-to look; it consisted of a white tee with a vintage-inspired graphic, her favorite cozy gray sweatpants by Alo, and the highly coveted black Adidas Samba sneakers, which she wore with long white-and-black Adidas socks. The actor accessorized only with a large black leather tote bag, cat-eye brown tortoiseshell sunglasses, dainty gold necklaces, and her gold nose hoop. Holmes wore no makeup for the solo outing and had her hair down in a messy ’do; in a true girl-off-duty move, she put her hairbands around her wrist.
When she’s not on the screen, on the stage, or attending a fashion or Hollywood event, Holmes keeps her style relaxed, often accenting her easy looks with elevated staples or accessories. Her go-tos include monochrome sets, pretty knits, big pants, and classic tees. Lately, she’s also been spotted out various times in casual sweats and sneakers.
“I love my T-shirts, and I love my vintage T-shirts. They’re so yummy. They’re a little dirty, a little stained or whatever, and that’s me,” the Coda star told Bazaar.com in an interview last year.
