Kate Middleton looks cheerful during hospital appearance amid racism claim

Kate Middleton looked chipper as ever while continuing to conduct her royal duties after being named as one of Prince Harry’s family members who allegedly made racist comments ahead of his son’s birth.

The Princess of Wales flashed a sparkling smile while attending the opening of the new children’s surgery unit at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital in London on Tuesday.

Middleton, 41, looked polished in a blue suit by Alexander McQueen while chatting with a group of children at the ceremony.

She accessorized with sapphire and diamond earrings, a matching necklace, and navy suede heels.

At one point, a little girl handed Prince William’s wife a drawing.

In another sweet moment, a young boy handed Middleton a flower bouquet.

Middleton gleamed while accepting the sweet offerings and celebrating the new Evelina London Children’s Day Surgery Unit.

She seemed rather unbothered considering her name had recently been dragged through the mud amid reports that Omid Scobie’s new book claimed Middleton and King Charles III were the royals who expressed concerns over Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s son’s skin color.

Markle, who is biracial, famously told Oprah Winfrey during a 2021 interview that members of the royal family made the allegedly racist comments before her now 4-year-old son Archie’s birth.

“[They asked about] how dark your baby is going to be?” Winfrey asked, with Markle replying, “Potentially, and what that would mean or look like.”

She and her husband didn’t reveal the identities, with Harry telling Winfrey, “That conversation I am never going to share, but at the time, it was awkward. I was a bit shocked.”

The Duke of Sussex — who now lives in Montecito, Calif., with his wife and their kids Archie and Princess Lilibet, 2, after the couple quit their royal duties in 2020 — later admitted that his family members were not racist but did show an “unconscious bias.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry claimed that royal family members had expressed concerns over Prince Archie’s skin color. MEGA

However, Middleton and Charles were named as the two royals in question when Dutch copies of Scobie’s bombshell book, “Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival,” were accidentally sent out without redactions.

Piers Morgan shared the named royals with the public, though he expressed that he didn’t think Middleton or Charles, 75, made racist comments.

“Frankly, if Dutch people wandering into a bookshop can pick it up and see these names, then you — the British people here, who actually pay for the British royal family — you’re entitled to know, too,” he said on “Piers Morgan Uncensored” last week.

The palace has not responded to the allegations, while Scobie placed blame on a translation error in Holland, where his biography has been removed from stores.

Middleton and William have yet to address the accusations and it seems business as usual for the pair, though the prince and his father are reportedly preparing a game plan over the crisis.
