Steps To Make an Origami Angel
Step 1:
Start with a square piece of paper.
Step 2:
We’re starting by setting the main creases before making the origami angel! So fold in half lengthwise.
Step 3:
Open.
Step 4:
Fold in half in the opposite direction.
Step 5:
Open again.
Step 6:
Fold diagonally.
Step 7:
Take the left and right corners and fold to the middle line.
Step 8:
Open the last two folds.
Step 9:
Cross-fold the right corner to the left side.
Step 10:
Open and repeat on the left side cross-folding to the right side. Open again.
Step 11:
Accordion fold one time on the right side towards the middle line.
Step 12:
Repeat on the left side. Your figure should look something like this.
Step 13:
Unfold so your origami angel will have these new creases.
Step 14:
Accordion fold the left and right sides again, this time making sure there’s a space not-too-far between the two.
Step 15:
Fold the right side toward the left side, until it meets the first crease on the left. Then, accordion-fold it.
Step 16:
Repeat on the left side as well, until it looks similar to a paper plane with more layers.
Step 17:
Extend the last few creases on both sides.
Step 18:
Lift the right and left sides up, to create triangles on each side.
Step 19:
Fold each triangle halfway down.
Step 20:
Undo the last step.
Step 21:
Fold the right and left sides inward, up until the middle crease.
Step 22:
Undo the last step.
Step 23:
Take the right side and squash-fold it inwards.
Step 24:
Repeat on the other side.
Step 25:
After pressing down to crease, open both sides.
Step 26:
Flip over.
Step 27:
Using the last crease on the right side as a guide, fold down the top part of your paper.
Step 28:
Repeat on the left side.
Step 29:
Flip it over.
Step 30:
Fold the right side upwards.
Step 31:
Fold the left side upwards.
Step 32:
Squash fold the right corner inwards.
Step 33:
Repeat the squash fold on the left side.
Step 34:
Flip over.
Step 35:
Turn upside down and fold the right upper layer inwards.
Step 36:
Take the same-side tip and fold outwards.
Step 37:
Repeat the last two steps on the left side.
Step 38:
Open the right side upper flap and push down.
Step 39:
Repeat on the left side.
Step 40:
Flip over.
Step 41:
Take the right side and flip the bottom part to the middle line and crease.
Step 42:
Repeat on the left side, your figure will look like a tie at this point.
Step 43:
Flip it over. Take the right flap and fold it down, behind the shorter upper layers.
Step 44:
Repeat on the left side.
Step 45:
Using your index finger and thumb, open the top corner and slightly push down, so the tip will take a more circular shape.
