Apple Music Replay officially released Nov. 28 ahead of Spotify Wrapped, its competitor’s end-of-year feature.
Similarly to Spotify Wrapped for Spotify users, Apple Music Replay 2023 compiles Apple Music users’ listening data for the year, including top songs, artists, albums and total minutes listened to.
Apple Music Replay functions a bit differently than Spotify Wrapped in that it’s a permanent feature in the Apple Music app and updates weekly throughout the year. However, today marks the launch of the more personalized Highlights summary, which users can share to social media by tapping on the share icon in the bottom-right corner of the app.

How to get your Apple Music Replay 2023
Apple Music Replay’s new Highlights feature can be accessed by going to the Apple Music Replay website on your device: replay.music.apple.com.
On this page, you’ll find a Highlight Reel that presents the year-in-review for a user’s 2023 Apple Music listening history. Just like Spotify Wrapped, this summary includes the total amount of time you spent listening to music, your top genre, top artist, top album and top song.
Apple Music users can access the Replay ’23 playlist on the app year-round by locating the Listen Now tab, scrolling to the Replay section, tapping the Replay ’23 playlist and then selecting the plus button in the top right. After that, Apple Music users can check out their Replay ’23 throughout the year in the Playlists section of their library.
When did Apple Music Replay begin?
On Nov. 29 last year, Apple Music announced its version of Spotify’s end-of-year campaign called Apple Music Replay. Apple’s feature includes much of the same listening data as Spotify’s, including a user’s top songs, top albums, top artists and top genres from throughout the year.

In addition to curating users’ personalized year-in-review data, Apple Music Replay features global charts for the biggest song, album and artist of 2023 across Apple Music and Shazam.
- Taylor Swift is Apple Music’s Artist of the Year for 2023. According to Today.com, Swift set a new all-time record for the most listeners in a single year for any artist on Apple Music.
- Country singer Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” is Apple Music Replay’s top song of 2023 – the first country song to top the chart since “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X in 2019.
- Morgan Wallen’s album “One Thing at a Time” came out as the top album of 2023, according to Apple Music Replay’s global charts.
