First-ever parade livestream set for Jan. 1 – Daily News

The Tournament of Roses will air its first-ever livestream of the Roses Parade on Jan. 1, giving access to millions more viewers, officials said Thursday, Dec. 21.

The 135th parade will be carried on four streaming services: Fubo TV, Christmas Plus, Pluto TV and LocalNow, and be hosted by Jericka Duncan of CBS Weekend News, actress Gabrielle Elyse and TikTok influencer Pressley Hosbach.

Don’t worry if you still like watch it the old-fashioned way: Good-ole TV.

The parade will continue to be broadcast live nationwide on linear television, on ABC, The Cowboy Channel, The Cowgirl Channel, Great American Family, KTLA, NBC, RFD-TV and Univision.

But parade organizers said the new livestream will enable more people to access the show, while featuring each of the 85 parade units that will journey down the 5 ½-mile route.

Officials expect millions to enjoy it – many who will be among the in-person crowd watching it that day.

The stream will be available through Jan. 14, 2024.

Duncan is an Emmy-nominated journalist, national correspondent and anchor of the Sunday edition of the “CBS Weekend News.”

Elyse got her start on Disney’s “Liv and Maddie and “Austin & Ally” and is the star of Nickelodeon’s long-running popular series “The Thundermans.” Elyse also most recently co-starred in the indie film “Good After Bad.”

Hosbach, a 17, is an actress, musician, dancer and entrepreneur with more than 10 million followers on her social media platforms. She got her start on the critically acclaimed reality television series “Dance Moms,” and recently signed a record label deal with Nickelodeon Music.
