On Monday, Parineeti Chopra and politician Raghav Chadha released the first images from their wedding. The pair exchanged vows on Sunday in Udaipur in front of family and friends. The couple wrote on Instagram, with photos from their wedding, ” “From the very first chat at the breakfast table, our hearts knew. Been waiting for this day for a long time .. So blessed to finally be Mr and Mrs!” The bride and groom appeared to be clad in ivory hues as they participated in wedding rites such as exchanging garlands, walking down the aisle, and other events.

Pre-wedding festivities

In May, at Delhi’s Kapurthala House, Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha got engaged in front of friends and family. Their lavish wedding took place in Udaipur. The celebrations for the couple’s wedding began in Delhi with an ardas ritual, which was followed by a Sufi night with only close friends and family present. They arrived in Udaipur on Friday, when a mehendi ceremony was held that same evening. On Saturday, it was followed by haldi and a Bollywood sangeet.The couple sparkled in colourful attire for their sangeet in the first image of the sangeet that DJ Navraj Hans released. Parineeti wore a glittering ensemble with a long coat and looked as stunning as ever, in contrast to Raghav who opted for a black attire for the evening. She enhanced her appearance with bold jewellery and simple makeup.

“The music list and the entire evening were curated by Parineeti herself. At the entrance, there were cassettes with the names of guests written with a special message written for them by Pari herself. The menu for the evening is also fun with options of chaat, popcorn, Maggie, and more,” sources told. The wedding took place on Sunday. The groom took his baaraat to the venue via boat.

Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha’s wedding was the very definition of a big, fat Indian wedding indeed. Their wedding took place at the Leela Palace in Udaipur and it was all lit up for the big day of the couple. The venue, situated in the middle of Lake Pichola, looked every bit resplendent with the lights and decor.

For her wedding, Parineeti wore a beige Manish Malhotra lehenga and accessorised with equally stunning jewels to look completely ethereal. In the meantime, Raghav Chadha looked sharp in an understated ivory-coloured attire created by his fashion designer uncle Pawan Sachdeva.

Parineeti Chopra attended the reception wearing an exquisite baby pink saree that exuded grace and elegance. Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed, the saree is believed to have been designed by renowned fashion house Manish Malhotra. The thin golden border and all over embellishments in gold are seen on the pink sheer saree. Parineeti wore a matching pink choora, which in many Indian cultures is a representation of wedded love. Her appearance was further accentuated by the vivid red sindoor that indicated her marital status. Parineeti opted to accessorise her look with a dazzling white kundan jewellery set that was studded with light green stones that strikingly contrasted with her baby pink saree.
