The Realme 12 Pro 5G features a luxury watch design, which was designed in partnership with luxury watch designer Ollivier Savéo. The smartphone comes with a large circular camera module with triple sensors and an LED flash. The module has a chic gold coating along its borders. A similar golden vertical line runs towards the bottom of the panel and extends to the bezels surrounding the smartphone, creating a distinctive and captivating design.

The volume rocker and power buttons are on the right edge. The USB Type-C port, speaker vents, primary microphones, and SIM tray are present at the bottom. The smartphone comes with IP65 water and dust resistance. The phone comes in Submarine Blue and Navigator Beige colours.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro comes with a glass rear panel and flaunts an elegant design. The Coral Purple variant, in particular, captivates with its tri-color camera module, adding a distinctive touch. The other colour options feature a more understated design, maintaining an attractive look through a minimalistic approach. The device also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and an IR blaster. In terms of protection, the device comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and also has an IP54 rating. The smartphone is available for purchase in Coral Purple, Arctic White, and Midnight Black colour variants.

The Realme 12 Pro 5G equips a 6.7-inch curved OLED display with a resolution of 2,412×1,080 (FHD+) pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and up to 950 nits brightness. The panel has a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut and comes with HDR10+ support for HD content streaming on OTT platforms. 

The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G features a comparable 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,712 x 1,220 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz1920Hz PWM dimming, and a peak brightness of 1,800nits. It also comes with slim bezels and maintains the same screen-to-body ratio. The display panel has a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, supports Dolby Vision, and holds Widevine L1 certification, enabling seamless HD content streaming on OTT platforms. The Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protects the display against damage.

Conclusion: In terms of display, the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G takes a slight lead with its higher resolution display and much higher peak brightness level.

Realme 12 Pro 5G vs Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G: cameras

Realme 12 Pro 5G features a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera with OIS, a 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto 1/2.74-inch sensor with OIS and 2x optical zoom support, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The device comes with a 16MP selfie camera at the front. 

The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G ships with a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 1/1.4-inch sensor with OIS+EIS image stabilisation and 4x in-sensor zoom, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and 2MP macro lens. It also has a similar 16MP punch-hole front camera.
Conclusion: When it comes to camera prowess, we cannot provide a definite answer since the smartphones have not yet been reviewed. The Realme 12 Pro does, however, offer a 32MP periscope telephoto lens, which is a unique offering in the price segment.

The Realme 12 Pro 5G ships with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset coupled with an Adreno GPU. The processor has a maximum clock speed of 2.2GHz and is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone also comes with 8GB of virtual RAM support. The device comes with Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 out-of-the-box.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC powers the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G. The mid-range chipset is fabricated using TSMC’s 4nm process and comes with an Adreno A710 GPU. The chipset has a maximum clock speed of up to 2.4GHz and comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The Note 13 Pro runs on MIUI 14, based on Android 14.
Conclusion: 
The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G comes with a superior processor as compared to the Realme 12 Pro 5G and thus offers a better performance output. Both smartphones come pre-installed with an Android 14-based operating system, allowing users to choose their preferred user interface.

A 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support powers the Realme 12 Pro 5G, while the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G draws from a 5,100mAh battery with a similar 67W fast charging support.
Conclusion: The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G offers a slightly better-rated battery in comparison to the Realme 12 Pro, which could give it a slight edge in terms of performance. It is, however, reasonable to expect comparable battery performance from both devices, given their similar specifications and charging support.
