Boman Irani lavishes praise on Dunki, says he ‘can’t wait’ for it

Boman Irani stands as one of Bollywood’s most gifted and adaptable actors, known for his diverse array of roles throughout his career. A highly anticipated project on his horizon is Rajkumar Hirani’s forthcoming comedy-drama, Dunki, featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee Pannu in pivotal roles.

In a recent video that surfaced online from an event, Boman Irani shared his thoughts on Dunki. He lavished praise on the film, describing it as an exceptionally unique subject and claiming it to be as entertaining, if not more so, than typical Rajkumar Hirani productions. He expressed his excitement, stating that the film promises to stimulate introspection about life and concepts.

According to an earlier report, Dunki is set to release in international markets on December 21st, marking a significant move for the film. The strategy involves a full-day release rather than just late-night premiere shows, aiming to build excitement and capitalise on word-of-mouth before entering the conventional weekend from Friday to Sunday. With Shah Rukh Khan’s stature as a global icon and the support of international holidays, the film is expected to generate remarkable numbers in the four-day weekend leading up to the Christmas holiday.

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani and co-written by Hirani, Abhijat Joshi, and Kanika Dhillon, Dunki boasts a stellar cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Dharmendra. The film’s production is in the capable hands of Hirani, Gauri Khan, and Jyoti Deshpande, with an Indian release scheduled for December 22. YRF International, the film’s distributor, is responsible for its international market release.
