bajaj pulsar, Pulsar N160, USD fork

Pulsar N160 uses the same USD fork as updated Pulsar N250; remains mechanically identical.

Bajaj has updated the Pulsar N160 once again in the span of just a few short months and this time around, it gets a USD fork. This champagne gold unit appears to be the same as the updated Bajaj Pulsar N250, although the internal tuning could be different.

  1. USD fork appears to be same as N250, but is a different colour
  2. Expected to stay mechanically identical
  3. Digi-analogue display likely to be phased out soon across all Pulsars

Bajaj Pulsar N160 USD fork update, digital display

With this update, the Bajaj Pulsar N160 becomes one of only two models in the 150-160cc segment that has a USD fork, the other one being the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V. This unit appears to be similar to one on the Pulsar N250 but is finished in gold, compared to the black finish on the larger model.

Recently Bajaj updated the Pulsar N160 and the N150 with a digital display, which brought in notification and navigation alerts via Bluetooth connectivity. We expect this variant to be mechanically identical to the current models, albeit a small increase in kerb weight is quite likely due to the addition of a USD fork.

With its last update, the Pulsar N160 was offered in two variants – one with the older (but handsome) digi-analogue dash and the other with the LCD display. Bajaj has steadily been updating the entire Pulsar lineup with the new digital display (although not all models get Bluetooth connectivity), so it is quite plausible that the digi-analogue units will soon be phased out. We expect the Pulsar N160 to be offered in two variants going forward – one with a telescopic fork and another with a USD unit.

Currently, the price for the Pulsar N160 with the digital dash is Rs 1.33 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and we expect this variant to now be the most accessible one in the range, with the USD fork variant priced a little higher.
