Adelaide Crows forward Darcy Fogarty looks to skipper Jordan Dawson amid form slump

Adelaide Crows star Darcy Fogarty says he’ll take a leaf out of Jordan Dawson’s book in his quest to turn his form around.

The key forward, who has kicked less than a goal a game this season, decided to return to his family farm in Lucindale for some downtime following the Crows’ loss to Essendon last Friday night.

“I think it’ll be a good little reset, a little freshen up that I think it needs,” Fogarty said.

Despite the criticism he has faced over his lacklustre start to the year, Fogarty remains confident that his fortunes will soon change.

“I’d like to be playing better, but I’m happy with the way I’m training and what I’m doing throughout the week,” he said.

Fogarty said he’s encouraged by the resurgence of his skipper, Jordan Dawson, who has emerged from his own form slump in impressive fashion.

“He put the boys on his back,” Fogarty said.

The Crows will have an opportunity to bounce back from Friday’s loss when they face the winless North Melbourne in Hobart on Saturday.
