Aamir spoke highly of Nupur and said, “The boy she has chosen is — waise toh pet name unka naam Popeye hai (by the way, his pet name is Popeye the sailor man) — he is a trainer, he has arms like Popeye but his name is Nupur. He is a lovely boy.” Aamir revealed that Nupur supported Ira through her battle with depression and emotionally stood by her. Aamir expressed his joy in seeing the couple so happy and caring for each other.
Aamir expressed his admiration for Nupur, referring to him as a great guy and feeling like he’s already a part of their family. He also mentioned that Nupur’s mother, Pritam, is already considered a part of their family. Aamir then confessed that he expects to be very emotional on Ira’s wedding day and anticipates crying a lot. The family has already discussed the need to take care of Aamir on that day because he can’t control his emotions and is prone to both tears and smiles.
Ira, who is the daughter of Aamir Khan and his ex-wife Reena Dutta, reportedly started dating Nupur in 2020 and they announced their relationship on Instagram in 2021.
