West Bengal polls: First-time voter shot dead outside polling booth


A primary-time voter was shot dead by unidentified individuals outside a polling booth in West Bengal’s Cooch Behar district on Saturday, police mentioned. The Trinamool Congress alleged that the BJP was behind the killing, whereas the saffron social gathering claimed that the deceased was its polling agent on the booth and pointed the accusing finger on the ruling social gathering within the state.

The youth, recognized as Anand Burman, was dragged outside polling booth quantity 85 in Pathantuli space of Sitalkuchi whereas voting was underway and shot dead, a police officer mentioned.
