Juhi Chawla recently shared intriguing anecdotes about her nearly three-decade-long marriage with industrialist Jay Mehta. During a special episode of a celebrity dance reality show, the star fondly recalled the days before their marriage when they exchanged heartfelt letters and cards.
Reflecting on their courtship, Juhi revealed, “Before we tied the knot, Jay wrote me letters every day. However, that tradition stopped after marriage (Laughs). It was letters and cards then, which has now evolved into emails and WhatsApp messages.”
Juhi offered a glimpse into the romantic gestures that defined their relationship, mentioning, “Jay and I met at a dinner, and he started gravitating towards me. On my birthday, he surprised me with a truck full of red roses. It took me a year to say ‘yes’ to him.” Her storytelling painted a picture of a love that patiently flourished, leading to a beautiful journey together. They exchanged vows in 1995.
