EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Giants’ final injury report of the week included a significant name.
Tight end Darren Waller, who was not previously on the report, is listed as questionable with a hamstring injury. Waller was limited in practiced today for the first time.
Also notable is that wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson is doubtful. Robinson has not played since tearing his ACL last Nov. 20 vs. Detroit.
The Giants sent a third-round draft choice to Las Vegas to acquire Waller in a trade on March 15. Waller quickly became a favorite target of quarterback Daniel Jones and their connection strengthened throughout the spring, training camp and the one preseason series they played.
Daniel Bellinger and Lawrence Cager are the other tight ends on the active roster. Fourth-year pro Tyree Jackson and rookie Ryan Jones are on the practice squad.
Robinson was activated off the reserve/physically unable to perform list on Aug. 29. He has since participated in practice but was limited today.
A 2022 second-round draft choice, Robinson finished his rookie season with six games played, three starts and 23 receptions for 227 yards and one touchdown. In his final game, he led the Giants with season-high totals of nine receptions for 100 yards.
In addition to Waller, defensive lineman D.J. Davidson (knee) and linebacker Cam Brown (ankle) are listed as questionable.
Also doubtful are cornerback Cor’Dale Flott (hamstring) and rookie safety Gervarrius Owens (safety).
All six players on the report, plus running back Gary Brightwell (knee) and Cager (ankle), were limited in practice.
