Realme to launch its first tablet on September 9: What we know and what we don’t


Realme is set to enter the tablet market in India on September 9. The company will launch Realme Pad along with Realme 8i and Realme 8s at a virtual event. Realme Pad will be the company’s first tablet in the country. The launch comes days after Realme launched its first laptop- Realme Book Slim with 11 Gen Intel processor.
Realme Tab is expected to come with a unibody construct and USB Type-C port for charging. The device is listed on Flipkart, hinting at its availability via the e-tailer’s site. Here’s what we know about the upcoming tablet
Confirmed: Realme Tab to have a 10.4-inch screen
Realme Tab will feature a 10.4-inch WUXGA immersive display. The tablet’s screen will offer a screen-to-body-ratio of 82.5% and will come with a resolution of 2000×1200 pixels.
Confirmed: Realme Tab to feature an ultra-slim design
Realme Tab will come with 6.9mm thickness. This will be slimmer than what other competition offers. It will have thin bezels on all sides. The USB port and speaker grilles will be placed at the bottom edge.
Confirmed: Realme Tab will come with two cameras
In the teaser image shown by the company, Realme Tab can be seen sporting a single lens camera– both at the front and rear side. One can also see a thin line running through the rear camera, parallel to the longer edge.
Expected: Realme Tab may run on Android 11
Realme Tab is said to run on Android 11 operating system. It is rumoured to be powered by MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. As per rumours, the tablet may offer 6GB RAM and an internal storage capacity of 64GB.
Expected: Realme Tab may come with big battery
Realme Tab is expected to house a 7,100mAh battery. The tablet may feature a USB Type-C port for charging and is said to offer a day-long battery.
Expected: Realme Tav may come in two colour variants
Realme Tab is teased to come in two colour models. This may include Gold and Grey color variants. Flipkart teaser page shows both the colour options of Realme Tab.
