As a continuing staple in Hollywood, Olivia Wilde knows a thing or two about causing a commotion amongst her fans. But it’s not just her acting or directing work that does so — it’s for her unique takes on fashion as well.
The Don’t Worry Darling star recently attended the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscars Party, where the red carpet attire always piques people’s interests. Olivia did just so with her white Gabriela Hearst gown while walking down the blue carpet. The ensemble stood out from what other invitees chose to wear, thanks to a one-shoulder sleeve and a mermaid-style silhouette. But it was The O.C. alum’s black leather bralette, which was front and center, that really stunned spectators, both in real-life and at home.
With the look being simple yet also a risk worthy of its own award, Olivia made sure to throw her own bit of shine into it.
Since the rest of her outfit didn’t have much detailing, the Booksmart director added pops of sparkle with diamond earrings and a bejeweled choker necklace. Olivia wore her blonde hair in loose tousled waves and added a dramatic effect with bold smoky cat eyeshadow. To tie it all together, she donned a neutral lip color.
Although she didn’t post the memorable fashion look on social media, pictures of Olivia’s dress did eventually circulate on the internet. Naturally, people had something to say about it, which was nothing but praise for her exceptional taste in clothing.
“Definitely one of her best looks,” one person wrote on Instagram. “I love this look, she’s gorgeous 😍😍❤️❤️,” another exclaimed. “I really like the dress, she looks absolutely stunning 🔥😻❤️,” a different user declared.
Time and time again, Olivia proves she knows how to make a statement. And given her place in the entertainment industry, it won’t be long before she wows folks again.
As the entertainment and news editorial assistant for Good Housekeeping, Adrianna (she/her) writes about everything TV, movies, music and pop culture. She graduated from Yeshiva University with a B.A. in journalism and a minor in business management. She covers shows like The Rookie, 9-1-1 and Grey’s Anatomy, though when she’s not watching the latest show on Netflix, she’s taking martial arts or drinking way too much coffee.
