WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — An officer-involved shooting happened around 3rd St and Maddison Dr., Northwest, Washington, DC.
According to police, two cars started firing weapons at people walking around Longfellow and Georgia Ave. The people walking shot back and the cars left the area. Police found one of the cars around 3rd St. and Longfellow. Police said they saw a man in the car with a weapon, and he was asked to put the weapon down.
Police opened fire and he has been taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
DC News Now contributor Larry Calhoun spoke to a witness who said they saw four people jump out of a car and one was shot by police.
