Awards season is officially in full swing and are folks are tuning into the pre-show arrivals to witness their favorite celebrities make a major fashion statement. One person who always has eyes on them is 2023 Oscars presenter Nicole Kidman, and it’s easy to see why.
Back in February, the Moulin Rouge! actress stunned attendees when she walked the red carpet at the 27th Annual Art Directors Guild Awards in Los Angeles. Always known for choosing unexpectedly bold outfits, she caused a stir with her subtle yet sexy black asymmetrical Schiaparelli gown. The alluring look was elevated, thanks to unique touches folded into the design. Nicole’s dress featured a high slit that cut out a portion of the skirt and exposed her legs. The top half also had one shoulder strap, giving the ensemble a more modern feel.
With her dress choice being so eye-catching, Nicole kept the momentum going by mixing both classic and retro nods to fashion.
For accessories, the Academy Award winner picked a daring necklace of a gold heart encrusted in diamonds with a key lock in the middle. The jewelry hung from her neck by a black velvet collar, which matched her floor-length gown. She also added a pair of black pointed heels that had a chain-like buckle around the ankles. As for hair and makeup, Nicole styled her blonde hair straight and wore her signature dark eyeliner and rosy lip combo.
As video footage from her red carpet appearance circulated on YouTube, fans swarmed the comments section with thoughts about how great Nicole looked on the red carpet.
“What an icon 💜,” one person wrote. “She’s so dramatic, I love it!” a different follower added. “I like the jewelry. It appears to be a real heart of gold. 💛,” another commented.
If this event proves anything, it’s that the Being the Ricardos actress has a keen eye for what will make her stand out. Couple that with the fact Nicole will be onstage for what’s arguably Hollywood’s biggest night, we can’t wait to see the couture risk she’ll take there.
