Mystic Bay wins a thriller

The Malesh Narredu-trained Mystic Bay, beautifully ridden by Chotu Singh Jodha, received the Byram N Jeejeebhoy Trophy, the characteristic occasion of Thursday`s eight-race card. The Leitir Mor – Memory Bay five-year-old gelding is owned by Jamshed Byramjee, in partnership with Mr & Mrs Zavaray & Behroze Poonawalla and Mrs B E Saldanha.
Smart begin
Mystic Bay was fast to leap from the gates, and confirmed the best way to Silver Flames, Excellent Gold, Gazino, Perfect Star and St Andrews in that order. On turning for residence, it quickly turned clear that jockey C S Jodha astride Mystic Bay had a lot in hand when he pissed off the all out efforts of P Trevor on Silver Flames who tried to problem him after crossing the two-furlong marker.
However, when P S Chouhan on Gazino pressured his method between the 2 warring horses and began respiratory down Mystic Bay`s neck, Jodha needed to resort to the whip to maintain going.
Late sprint
Just when Mystic Bay and Gazino have been going hammer and tongs as they entered the ultimate furlong, St Andrews (Aniket Karande up), who was racing a indifferent final within the early a part of the race, coated floor with gigantic strides and thundered onto the scene. In the triangular battle that ensued, Jodha stored his cool and gave an exemplary trip to Mystic Bay, managing to remain forward, sparing half a size to Gazino and St Andrews who have been locked in a picture end for the runner up berth.
Jodha, who had earlier received the opening race for coach Adhirajsingh Jodha with Speculator, completed the day with a double, sharing the honours with jockey P Trevor (Sultan Suleiman and Viktorina) and coach Malesh Narredu (Historian and Mystic Bay).
