MultiVersus Was The Best-Selling Game In July 2022

According to the latest report from NPD, Warner Brothers’ recently released title, MultiVersus, was the best-selling game in the United States for July 2022. MultiVersus surpassed the likes of Elden Ring and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga in terms of generated earnings for the past 30 days.

MultiVersus has now reached more than 10 million players worldwide thanks to the acclaimed open beta period, which began on July 26 with an ever-expanding roster that recently added Morty from the hit comedy series Rick and Morty. The base premise of the game is to bring a plethora of beloved characters from Warner Bros’ adjacent properties. Despite being a free-to-play title, MultiVersus topped the sales charts thanks to The Founder’s Pack, which sold much more than Warner Bros. expected in the United States.

Players who purchased The Founder’s Pack received character tokens, banners, and in-game currency which can be used to buy the in-game Battle Pass.
