PARADISE — Cal Fire-Butte County says that one person was killed in an mobile home fire early Friday at the Lime Saddle Estates mobile home park on the 4300 block of Pentz Road.
Firefighters reportedly responded to the fire at 4:15 a.m. and arrived to find a single wide mobile home fully engulfed in blames along with an adjacent recreation vehicle, according to a press release from Cal Fire-Butte County. Firefighters say the fire had extended into vegetation, burning 1/10 of an acre.
Firefighters quickly gained control of the vegetation fire and suppressed the structure fire. Four engines responded to the scene along with one water tender and a volunteer company. A total of 16 firefighters were on the scene along with investigators who are investigating the fire’s cause.
