Just days before Apple finally unveils the upcoming iPhone 15 series to the world, reports have surfaced that reveal the specs of the cameras used in the devices. The iPhone 15 Pro Max, for example will get a 48MP Sony IMX803 primary rear sensor, with an f/1.78 aperture

The eagerly awaited iPhone 15 series is slated to make its debut at Apple’s Wonderlust event on September 12. The upcoming lineup is expected to feature four models namely the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Over the past few months, numerous leaks and rumours have swirled around these upcoming smartphones, with the latest leak shedding light on potential camera specifications.

As per a recent report, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are likely to boast a 48MP primary rear sensor with an f/1.6 aperture, representing a significant upgrade from the 12MP primary sensor present in the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.

Additionally, these models are rumoured to include a secondary 12MP sensor equipped with an ultra-wide-angle lens, featuring an f/2.4 aperture.

In contrast, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models are expected to incorporate a 48MP Sony IMX803 primary rear sensor, sporting an f/1.78 aperture.

The premium Pro models are also speculated to feature a 12.7-megapixel sensor coupled with a telephoto lens, equipped with an f/2.8 aperture, as well as a 13.4-megapixel sensor featuring an ultra-wide-angle lens at f/2.2 aperture. The top-tier iPhone 15 Pro Max may even include a periscopic telephoto lens.

For users in India, there is optimism that they may have the opportunity to purchase the iPhone 15 on the same day as its global release, thanks to the Make in India campaign.
