LG K42 with 4000mAh battery, quad-rear camera launched at Rs 10,990


NEW DELHI: South Korean tech giant LG has expanded its smartphone lineup with the launch of its latest budget smartphone. The company has launched LG K42 in India. The smartphone comes with military grade certification and is powered by a 4000mAh battery.
The smartphone comes with MIL-STD- 810G certification. The phone is sturdy enough to pass 9 categories of US defense standard including high temperature, low temperature, temperature shock, vibration, shock, and humidity, etc. It sports a quad-rear camera setup and is powered by an octa-core processor.
Price and availability
The LG K42 comes with a price tag of Rs 10,990 and it comes with a 2-year extended warranty along with a free one time screen replacement. The smartphone is exclusively available online on Flipkart and can be purchased in Gray and Green colour options. At this price point, the smartphone will compete against the Realme C15.
LG K42 specifications
The LG K42 is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor and it comes with a 6.6-inch HD+ punch hole display. The smartphone runs Android 10 operating system topped with the company’s own LG UX OS.
LG K42 packs 3GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage which can be expanded further via microSD card. The device features a quad-rear camera setup which comprises a 13MP main sensor, 5MP superwide sensor, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro sensor. The front is home to an 8MP selfie shooter. The device consists of a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and is backed by a 4000mAh battery.
For a good audio experience, the smartphone comes with a 3D Sound Engine, which the company claims can deliver optimal sound experience. The device comes equipped with a dedicated button for Google Assistant and the rear panel of the smartphone comes with UV coating which will protect the device from scratches.
