Jofra Archer undergoes hand surgery after freak fish tank accident

Jofra Archer underwent surgery to take away a glass fragment from a tendon on his proper hand on Monday after an try to wash his fish tank went mistaken, England’s director of cricket Ashley Giles mentioned.

Archer sustained the harm at his residence in January and the harm was managed by England throughout their Test and T20 sequence in India.

“He’s got a fish tank, dropped the fish tank and cut his hand,” Giles informed BBC Radio 5 Live.

“This goes to sound like an terrible conspiracy and I do know what’s going to occur on Twitter immediately after I say this. But it’s true, it’s not a conspiracy, it was a fish tank. He was cleansing at residence.

“He’s been in surgery today and he’s come out of it well. They’ve operated and actually I think they found a small fragment of glass still in the tendon.”

The 25-year-old featured in two of England’s 4 Tests and all 5 T20 matches throughout their sequence in India.

Archer, who was on account of play for the Rajashthan Royals, will miss the beginning of the Indian Premier League season, which begins on April 9.
