Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown Sunday, Sept. 25, and Yom Kippur falls on Tuesday, October 4. Here are some gift ideas to usher in the Jewish High Holiday New Year and treats to break the fast.

Discover kosher wine gems from Israel, California, Italy and France, whose wine-producing regions have had an exceptional year for kosher wine production. Wine expert Gabriel Geller, director of PR for Royal Wine Corp, the largest producer, exporter and importer of kosher wines and spirits, suggests Herzog Lineage Momentus and organic-certified, no-sulfites-added Herzog Variations Be-leaf Cabernet Sauvignon, which both pair well with beef and other traditional holiday meats.

Treat the family to a Jewish New Year dinner at Lawry’s The Prime Rib. There’s a special pre-fixe dinner special available from Sunday, Sept. 25 through Thursday, Sept. 27. The menu includes challah and sliced apples with honey, matzo ball soup, Lawry’s famous original spinning bowl salad, a choice of California cut roasted prime rib of beef with mashed potatoes and creamed corn or pan-seared rainbow trout with a potato latke plus almond-crusted puff pastry with a raspberry roulade for dessert.
