iQoo 9 series was released in India earlier this year and included two smartphones — the iQoo 9 and 9 Pro. Moreover, the iQoo 10 Pro handset was recently approved by the TENAA certification authority which revealed that the Pro variant may come powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
Now, a recent report by GSMArena suggests that the iQoo 10-series might not be the only device to feature Qualcomm’s latest processor. The report suggests that the company is set to expand the iQoo 9 series with another smartphone in the country. iQoo 9T is confirmed to launch in India in July. The report also claims that the upcoming handset will also come powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC which is claimed to boost the device’s performance by 10% and improve power efficiency by 30%. Apart from these, the iQoo 9T has also recently passed the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification.
As per the report, the company has also claimed that the iQoo 9T will offer “ultimate performance and a top-notch gaming experience,” just like the other devices in the lineup. Moreover, the 9T is also expected to be an upgrade over the two earlier released handsets, the company promises. However, the company has not revealed the official pricing of the upcoming smartphone. For reference, the iQoo 9 starts at Rs 42,990 while the base model of the iQoo 9 Pro is available at Rs 64,990.
