Finally, after a long round of anticipation and wait, the iPhone 14 series is here. While we got to see nothing new as such in the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, the other two high-end devices from the series, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max took all the limelight. The most amazing part about both smartphones is that they have a pill-shaped cutout at the front for the placement of a selfie shooter. As claimed by Apple CEO Tim Cook, the iPhone 14 Pro is the most innovative pro lineup until now.

However, the main thing is to let people know about what has changed from the journey of Apple iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max to iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. Here, we have compared the handsets with their predecessors to give you a better idea of the situation and help you in making a legit purchasing decision.

iPhone 14 Pro lineup vs iPhone 13 Pro lineup: Pricing

The starting price of the iPhone 14 Pro is Rs 1,29,900 in the Indian market. The iPhone 12 Pro Max can be purchased from the market for Rs 1,39,900. The devices are being shipped in four different colour variants including Graphite, Purple, Silver, and Green. Talking about the iPhone 13 Pro series, the iPhone 13 Pro is priced at Rs 1,08,900 and the iPhone 13 Pro Max is available for Rs 1,29,900.

iPhone 14 Pro lineup vs iPhone 13 Pro lineup: Design and Display

This time, apple has removed the notch and offered a pill-shaped cutout in the latest iPhone 14 Pro lineup. The display of the devices is similar to that of their predecessors. The pill-shaped cutout has a front-facing sensor along with FaceID components. Not only this, but Apple has also placed a proximity sensor behind the display in the new lineup.

One of the most innovative parts of the device is that alerts and notifications will move around the notch in animation. The company has named this feature Dynamic Island. It will be seen whenever people will play music, get a notification, and more.

Both the models have Super Retina HDR display complemented with a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a peak brightness of 2000 nits. One thing which we can already say with confidence is that the viewing and streaming experience on these Apple devices is going to be phenomenal. As compared to the iPhone 13 Pro lineup, these are some major differences that make the iPhone Pro lineup unique and better than its predecessor.

iPhone 14 Pro lineup vs iPhone 13 Pro lineup: Performance

In terms of performance, Apple never disappoints its fans, and the same is the case this time. The Apple iPhone 14 Pro lineup ships with the latest A16 Bionic processor which delivers high-octane performance. The devices also get 6GB RAM coupled with 1TB internal storage which is more than enough to store all that you need in your device.

Cherry on the cake is that the latest handsets ship with the iOS 16 which is again going to provide a completely new experience to the user and has been further optimized to offer better functionality than the last iOS version.

Now, it seems quite clear that the iPhone 13 Pro lineup is no match against the iPhone 14 Pro lineup as the latter offers a better operating system and processor. The iOS 16 also has an always-on display feature, screen widget feature, sleep state, etc. In the sleep state, the wallpaper will get darkened and the smartphone will start consuming less battery.

The iPhone 14 Pro draws power from a 3200mAh battery that can go on for a day if the device is being used moderately. The iPhone 14 Pro Max packs a 4352mAh battery that can let the device go on for a day when used moderately. Not a lot has been done to improve the battery capacity or optimization in the latest Pro lineup as compared to the latest previous one.

iPhone 14 Pro lineup vs iPhone 13 Pro lineup: Camera

We have to admit that Apple has completely skipped its conventional approach in the iPhone 14 Pro lineup. The devices have got a 48MP primary sensor which has happened for the first time in the history of Apple. The other two sensors include a 12MP telephoto sensor and a 12MP ultrawide angle sensor.

The camera system of both devices supports recording of 4K resolution at 30fps and 24fps. The primary sensor of the device will deliver improved results in low light conditions, better than the camera system of the iPhone 13 Pro lineup of course. On the front, these two devices also carry a 12MP TrueDepth sensor for capturing selfies and attending video calls similar to the iPhone 14 base lineup.
