Delhi Capitals (DC) quick bowler Anrich Nortje, who had examined constructive for Covid-19 earlier this month, is out of quarantine, the group mentioned on Friday. “Our South Africa pace superstar is now out of quarantine. Nortje had examined constructive on Wednesday, April 14, NDTV had reported. Nortje and fellow South Africa pacer Kagiso Rabada had been in necessary quarantine after their arrival in India on April 6. 

“Main aa gaya hoon (I have returned),” mentioned Nortje in a video posted by DC on social media. 

“It was nice to see everyone at breakfast,” he mentioned after becoming a member of the group. “Finally, out of my room, so excited to get to training today. 

“Looking ahead to get to the stadium. It was good to lastly watch the IPL and it is good to see it in India as properly.” 

Pacers Nortje and Rabada played key roles in DC’s run to their maiden IPL final last season. 

While Nortje picked up 22 wickets from 16 matches, Rabada finished as the IPL’s leading wicket-taker in 2020 with 30 wickets from 17 matches.


Rabada returned to the DC XI of their second recreation of the season, towards Rajasthan Royals on Thursday, after lacking the primary match towards Chennai Super Kings on April 10. 

With Nortje out of quarantine, DC are anticipated to have their frontline quick bowlers bowling in tandem for them after they tackle Punjab Kings on Sunday of their subsequent match.
