Indian PC market hits record shipments in Q1 2021, claims report


The PC market in India has seen a brand new record in shipments, based on a report by IDC. As per the report, 3.1 million PCs have been shipped, recording the highest-ever first-quarter shipments to India. The shipments grew 73.1% (year-over-year), said the report.

In the primary quarter of 2021, HP led the market with a 32.9% market share. According to the report, HP registered a 102.1% YoY progress in Q1 2021 and led each client and industrial segments.
Dell landed on the second spot with a 21.8% market share and 45.4% YoY progress in 1Q21. The firm witnessed a dip in the patron section as its shipments declined 49.5% from the earlier quarter. However, it maintained its lead in the enterprise section with a 40.9% share and secured the second place in the general industrial section.
In third place was Lenovo. The firm recorded 73.4% YoY progress in 1Q21 and captured 20.1% market share. The fourth place was captured by Acer with 7.7% market share in 1Q21.
Asus and Apple tied on the fifth spot as each corporations captured a 5.4% market share on the finish of the primary quarter of 2021. While Asus’ shipments noticed an 83.9% YoY progress however declined 10.9% sequentially, Apple recorded its largest quarter for PC shipments in India with shipments rising 335.5% YoY and 45.3% from the earlier quarter.
