The Disney X Marvel showcase event has launched and the players are more energized than ever in recent memory. Assumptions were at an unsurpassed high prior to coming into this occasion as this was a first for these two would hold a game showcase event. The first World Premiere announcement that players received was for Tron: Identity. News about a new Tron game coming has all players excited, unfortunately we know no more than the name for the title.
After the Tron tease, the players were graced with a release date for Marvel’s Midnight Suns. Much to everyone’s surprise the game has a release date set for December 2, 2022. At first all the players speculated the game to release in 2023, lucky for them that they will now be able to get their hands on title by the end of 2022.
Post that we heard about a new card game called Marvel Snap, not too much was shared about this game either. Following this announcement we were graced with a new arcade racer called Disney Speedstorm, which very much felt like Disney’s take on Mario Kart, including all of the popular characters from their franchises.
After that, we were shown a gameplay preview for the highly anticipated mobile gaming title, Avatar Reckoning. Avatar Reckoning is a MMO RPG shooter which is scheduled to release late this year. Unfortunately we do not have a concrete release date to provide right, but stay tuned as it should pop up sooner or later.

Then came the big guns, the new Marvel Title by Skydance media, which is being worked on by Uncharted director, Amy Hennig. We did not receive a title for the game, but we do know that it will be set during the time of World War 2 in the city of Paris. This will be a team up title and the players will get to see Captain America and Black Panther in action. All we know about the game is that there are 4 heroes and 2 worlds.
Lastly we were graced with an all new mobile Marvel game in development by Niantic. We do not much about the title, but it seems like a Pokemon Go version of Marvel. In the tease, people were shown in a park with different types of Marvel Hero skill sets and seemed to be battling out with each other. The game has been dubbed as Marvel World of Heroes and is scheduled to arrive in 2023. That is all for the announcements from Day 1, stay tuned to learn more about D23 Day 2.
