Dekalb, Texas (KTAL/KSHV) – The Bowie County Sheriff’s Office says a De Kalb man died of his wounds after a shooting on Saturday.
Deputies responded to the shooting on County Rd. 4252 at 6:19 p.m. to find Demond Monta Easter suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to St Michael’s Hospital, where he later died of his wounds.
Authorities say Derrelexis Dewayne Betts of De Kalb shot Easter during an argument. Deputies booked him into the Bi-State Jail and charged him with murder. His bond has not yet been set.
