CHP: Fellows teen dies while skateboarding after truck hits him | News


A 13-year-old boy skateboarding on Highway 33 between Fellows and McKittrick died after he was hit by a Ford F-150 in dark and heavy rain, the California Highway Patrol said in a news release Monday.

Buttonwillow CHP officers were called around 5:30 p.m. Sunday to the scene north of Arnold Avenue and learned the teenager from Fellows was riding his black skateboard in the sounthbound lanes going slowly.
