Thursday night, New York smoldered with parties. Uptown, downtown, formal, and freaky, the revelry took on all shapes. Bergdorf Goodman feted the first night of Fashion Week with a sexy celebration in its men’s shop. Flooded with red lights, the grand second floor transformed into a midnight cabaret. Like any quality Kit Kat Klub, the festivities attracted a wide range of personalities and performances.

Evan Mock, the charismatic downtown darling, bounced around the room. Beside him, Chloe Fineman, the SNL comedian known for her spot-on impressions, shimmered in white like an Old Hollywood movie star. Wes Gordon, still in his suit from Gracie Mansion a few hours prior, stopped by with his husband, Paul Arnhold. Several of Gordon’s fellow designers, including Adam Lippes and Christopher John Rogers, mingled among the crowd. The professionally stylish and the professionally beautiful swapped show schedules. Linda Fargo greeted her guests like the grande dame she is.

Model and singer Karen Elson took to the stage and gave a captivating performance. Following the red-haired chanteuse,  drag superstar Symone electrified her audience. Silver trays of martinis and negronis from Goodman’s Bar circulated. Despite the hour, for many in attendance, the night had just begun.
