Additionally, instead of an official second season, the stories of Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes will continue in two separate films, Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts, which can serve as stand-ins for a second season. As fans know, the ending of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier saw Sam Wilson take on the mantle of Captain America and pass down the mantle of Falcon to Joaquin Torres, his colleague.
Moreover, Sharon Carter‘s villainous story teased in the post-credits scene of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’s final episode, where she rejoined the CIA to sell government secrets and weapons to unknown powers, will likely be followed in the film Armor Wars. The film will follow James Rhodes dealing with Tony Stark’s weapons falling into the wrong hands, with Rhodes also likely catching wind of Sharon’s ethically immoral activities.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier features Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan in the lead roles of Sam Wilson/Falcon/Captain America and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier. Other cast members include Wyatt Russell as John Walker/Captain America/U.S. Agent, Erin Kellyman as Karli Morgenthau/Flag-Smasher, and Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter/Power Broker, among others.
