Lionel Richie is feeling the (Endless) Love.
The “All Night Long” hitmaker, 74, revealed he’s “thrilled” for Sofia, 25, and her husband Elliot Grainge, 30, after they announced they were expecting their first child.
“My baby is having a baby,” the “Hello” singer told “Entertainment Tonight” Monday. “And I’m so thrilled for Elliot and Sophia. They are just over the moon.”
After being told that the lovebirds this week shared a video of their intimate at-home gender reveal, Lionel was caught by surprise at the news.
“You know, there is no secret with those two,” he quipped over news that the pair are having a baby girl. “I keep saying, ‘Keep it a secret, OK?’ But yes, that’s what’s happening. I’m so happy.”
The 4-time Grammy winner is already a grandfather to daughter Nicole Richie’s two children.

But although he’s already a well-established grandfather at home, Lionel has no interest in being called “grandpa.”
“I’m pop-pop,” he explained. “We don’t get the ‘grandpa,’ yeah, that’s a little deep. Pop-pop is where we’re going.”
Elsewhere, the “Dancing on the Ceiling” hitmaker revealed the one name that is strictly off-limits for Sofia and Elliot’s baby girl.
The musician jokingly told E! News that the pair “can’t call her Lionella.”
“I’m gonna leave that to the parents. I’m just gonna be that loving Pop-Pop that comes in the door and spoils the child,” he shared.
“There’s a moment in time when your parents start laughing when you have a kid, I can’t wait to start laughing because it’s at that point now.”

Sofia revealed news of her pregnancy to Vogue last week.
The model, who is about six months along, told the publication she kept the news under wraps to “protect” her space.
The duo went public with their relationship in early 2021, and Grainge popped the all-important question in April 2022.
