Kiwi Cricketers Gain Wisdom from Dalai Lama, Viral Photo

The World Cup 2023 is going crazy day by day. Each match is thrilling. Fans are going crazy. They are supporting their team with their heart out. All teams are giving their best. New Zealand is in a great form. They were unbeaten till the match against India. They faced defeat against India. This was their first loss in this tournament. After the match, the New Zealand people met a very special person.

Who is that special person?

New Zealand is one of the strongest teams in this tournament. They won all the matches except the match against India. New Zealand players are dominating the tournament. In the match against India, They all tried well but the dominance of the Indian side snatched the match for them. The Kiwis won against England, the Netherlands, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. 

After the match, New Zealand players and their families met the Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama in his Dharamshala residence. All the players will boost their confidence by meeting the wise person. All the players took a photo with Dalai Lama and posted it on social media. That post caught my attention.

New Zealand’s defeat against India:

India and New Zealand locked horns being unbeaten in the tournament. After winning the toss India decided to bowl first. While batting first, New Zealand lost the early wicket of Devon Conway. Rachin Ravindra played an amazing knock. He scored 75 runs in 87 balls. But Daryl Mitchell took all the limelight. He played an outstanding knock of 130 runs in 127 balls. He smashed 9 boundaries and 5 over-boundaries. They got all out in 273 runs.

While chasing the target, Rohit Sharma scored 46 runs in 40 balls with 4 boundaries and 4 over-boundaries. Shubman Gill got out quickly by scoring 26 runs. Again Virat Kohli has shown his masterclass. He played a responsible inning of 95 runs in 104 balls. He smashed 8 boundaries and 2 over-boundaries. He missed the well-deserved century by fate. Shreyas Iyer scored 33 runs in 29 runs. They defeated the Kiwis by 4 wickets. New Zealand is still in Dharamshala waiting for their next game.
